Articles about coffee shop etiquette, relationships, hair, and other silly things.

A short-lived website owned by AOL, I was their Beauty/Fashion Editor (2015-2016) responsible for generating, pitching, and writing weekly articles in a fun, approachable voice to reach a global audience. This content is no longer live, but lives on through other websites that quoted my articles, like this one.

From 2012-2014 or so, I wrote book reviews for a hip coffee/book shop that was located across the public library where I worked in Birmingham, Alabama. The content isn’t all easily found these days (change in management, and, like, time), but a few key gems—like this one, about a Chuck Klosterman book, or this one, about eReaders and moving to California.

An article about growing up in the wedding industry. Originally published in PMS (poemmemoirstory) a literary journal.

From 2015 – 2017, I regularly contributed features for HelloGiggles, providing many lifestyle, entertainment, and body-positivity articles.

Article about losing a bunch of weight and ruining relationships in my early twenties.

On what it’s really like to have weight loss surgery.

A coffee guide to Folsom, California (with Johnny Cash references, of course), and a Sacramento, California coffee guide.

Features for Sacramento area entertainment/culture magazine. Mostly local event highlights, movie reviews, rants & raves about mean old people, and celebrity interviews.
